A simple approach to grooming & coat care

A few short grooming sessions each week do more for a coat than one occasional deep-clean. A deshedding tool lifts the loose undercoat — where most shed fur comes from — before it reaches your furniture, while a slicker brush works through tangles. Always brush out mats first, keep sessions short, and reward calm behaviour so grooming becomes a routine your pet accepts rather than dreads.

Match the tool to the coat: short coats need little more than a weekly once-over, while double-coated and long-haired breeds benefit from more frequent deshedding, especially in the spring and autumn shedding seasons. Build a small grooming kit that covers brushing, nails and the occasional bath — and browse the wider range in all products.

Pet Grooming — frequently asked questions

How often should I brush my dog or cat?+

For most pets, two to three short brushing sessions a week keep shedding and tangles under control. With a deshedding tool, one to two sessions of about 10–20 minutes a week works well — increase the frequency during the spring and autumn shedding seasons.

Do deshedding tools actually reduce shedding?+

Yes. By reaching the loose undercoat that surface brushes miss, a deshedding tool can noticeably cut the amount of fur your pet drops. Brush out any mats or tangles first, and avoid using one on non-shedding breeds or pets with very sensitive skin.

My pet hates being groomed — any tips?+

Keep the first sessions to a minute or two, reward calm behaviour, and stop before your pet gets restless. Building up gradually, in a quiet spot, turns grooming into something they tolerate — sometimes even enjoy.

Is shipping free, and can I return it?+

Yes — Furronix orders over $70 ship free (in the U.S. and 40+ countries), and you have a 30-day window to return anything that isn’t the right fit.
