Buying guide

Choosing the right feeding & hydration gear

Good mealtime kit fits how your pet actually eats and drinks. Steady grazers do well with a gravity feeder that keeps dry food portioned and fresh, while pets that tend to overeat benefit from measured, scheduled feeding. Raised bowls can ease neck and joint strain for larger or senior pets — match the design to your routine first, then your pet’s size.

Hydration is where the biggest difference shows. Cats and older animals often drink more from a pet water fountain than a still bowl, because moving water taps an instinct that helps prevent dehydration and supports urinary health. Pair the right bowl and fountain for your home, and explore the rest of the range in all products.

Pet Feeding — frequently asked questions

Do cats really drink more from a water fountain?+

Many do. Cats have an instinct for running water, and the sound and movement of a fountain encourages them to drink more than they would from a still bowl — useful for fussy drinkers and older cats prone to dehydration. If your cat ignores their water dish, a quiet fountain is worth trying.

How often do I need to clean a pet fountain?+

Wipe the fountain down and rinse the bowl regularly, clean the pump and filter about once a week to stop biofilm building up, and replace the filter roughly one to two times a month. A fountain needs less frequent full cleaning than an unfiltered bowl, but it does need consistent upkeep.

Are raised or elevated bowls better for my pet?+

Elevated bowls can make eating more comfortable for larger breeds and senior pets by reducing neck and joint strain. For small pets a standard bowl is usually fine — pick the height that lets your pet eat with a relaxed, level posture.

Is shipping free, and can I return it?+

Yes — Furronix orders over $70 ship free (in the U.S. and 40+ countries), and you have a 30-day window to return anything that isn’t the right fit.
